The VinylPlus Sustainability Forum 2025 – For a future-proof value chain

The VinylPlus Sustainability Forum 2025 (VSF2025) will explore how circularity, competitiveness and societal purpose must come together to build a bright future for the PVC value chain in Europe and beyond. The VSF2025 will be held as a physical event in Paris, France on 21 and 22 May 2025, bringing together leading experts from academia, industry, and regulators. Day 1 will be focussed on interactions with thematic networking sessions and will feature an exhibition showcasing VinylPlus projects and partnerships. Day 2 will dive into three thematic sessions with expert presentations and panel discussions.

For the last 24 years, VinylPlus® has been a frontrunner in sustainability and circularity. As an industry, we have achieved a lot, but we know there is still more to do, in a context where industry needs to be competitive and innovative whilst addressing planetary challenges. With VinylPlus 2030, the third 10-year commitment to sustainable development, the European PVC industry is progressing on its journey to accelerate the transition towards a more sustainable and circular future. We are now at the halfway point of our 2030 Commitment, and we are conducting a mid-term review of our ambitious targets. This review is a key opportunity to take stock of EU and global developments, as well as the achievements and challenges faced by the PVC industry.

At #VSF2025, we will discuss how to leverage:

·      Circularity for a future-proof value chain, by increasing recycling, unlocking innovative advanced technologies to sort and recycle, assessing the life cycle of PVC products and enhancing the connectiveness of the value chain.

·      Competitiveness for a future-proof value chain, by finding opportunities in the Clean Industrial Deal and Green Public Procurement and investing in research and development and certification.

·      Societal purpose for a future-proof value chain, by enabling affordable housing and adaptation to climate change, supporting agriculture, culture and sports, offering quality jobs in Europe, and taking responsibility for waste.
