Collaborating on sustainability: INEOS Styrolution and Tuplus transform luggage manufacturing

INEOS Styrolution’s Terluran® ECO GP-22 MR50

The TUPLUS luggage brand stands for stylish, functional luggage. The company combines industrial design with premium materials and hardware to produce suitcases that suit the modern traveller. Finding the right materials to meet not only those criteria, but to also reduce the carbon footprint of its products and promote a more environmentally conscious mode of travelling does not happen by chance.

Recycled and Recyclable

Terluran® ECO GP-22 MR50 – the material chosen by TUPLUS – is the result of a conscious decision on the part of INEOS Styrolution to meet the INEOS’ pledge to incorporate at least 325kt/year of recycled materials into its products. It is a fully recyclable ABS* grade containing 50% recycled post-consumer waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). The material was intended to address application designers of new household and electronics applications.

Style, functionality and positive environmental impact

As well as meeting the functionality and design criteria set by TUPLUS and retaining the properties of ABS grade plastic (including high impact resistance, high quality surface finish), the use of such a product has helped the company to contribute to its recycling and CO2 reduction targets.
