Arkema strengthened its Climate Plan in July 2022 and set a target to reduce its Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 46% by 2030 (target 2.0 MtCO2e) compared with 2019, including emissions from Scope 3 (target 85 MtCO2e).
Arkema has been working to reduce its carbon footprint for many years. In concrete terms, the climate plan is implemented with each of its business lines and industrial facilities. The Arkema Energy Global Programme adopted in 2013 is one of the key levers. The energy efficiency of the industrial operations has already improved by 15% compared with 2012, the aim is to increase this gain to 25% by 2030.
