Feedstock attribution

Allocation of the characteristics of a feedstock (e.g., biobased or recycled), which is added at the beginning of the production process, to the end product. Mass balance is one well-known chain of custody approach which can be used to trace the flow of materials through the value chain resulting in associated claims for those allocation.
