Jean-Yves Daclin appointed general manager of PlasticsEurope France

Jean-Yves Daclin, 53, is joining PlasticsEurope, the European plastics producers’ association, to head up its activities in France. As of 1 July, he will be succeeding Eric Quenet, who held this position for the past three years.

A graduate of “Ecole Polytechnique” and “Télécom Paris”, Jean-Yves Daclin has 25 years’ experience in specialty chemicals and low-carbon economy solutions.

After a few years in consulting, he held several managing positions of different Business Units at Hutchinson.

In 2011, he joined TotalEnergies as Director of Solar Energy, to initiate the group’s transition to decarbonised energy.

He then took over the management of the Low-Carbon Solutions Division within the Polymers Department and lead the biopolymers and chemical recycling projects at the Grandpuits conversion site south of Paris.

“For me, PlasticsEurope is a great opportunity to support our industry in its transition to full circularity and to promote its transformation for a more sustainable world.”
