BASF addressed this challenge by developing Haptex\u00ae, an innovative polyurethane solution for synthetic leather production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/plasticseurope.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/haptex-1024x724.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5132 size-full\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Synthetic Leather<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Developed for use in automobiles, footwear, apparel and furniture, Haptex\u00ae has retained the functionality of leather with high peel strength, anti-yellowing, and high abrasion performance properties. Thanks to the dry manufacturing process used, VOCs have been significantly reduced.
