Zet in op maatregelen die sector helpen versnellen naar circulaire productie en verbruik <\/strong><\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In een brief aan de Tweede Kamer<\/a> uiten kunststofproducerende en verwerkende bedrijven in Nederland grote zorgen over plannen voor een nationale plastic belasting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zo’n nationale plastic taks is niet effectief en kent veel nadelen. Zo vernietigt het veel bedrijvigheid en werkgelegenheid in Nederland, oplopend tot 45 %, waarmee duizenden banen in de Nederlandse industrie verloren kunnen gaan. Dit blijkt ook uit onderzoek<\/a> van CE Delft. Op die manier zal een nationale taks averechts uitwerken en de Europese markt verder fragmenteren, zo schrijven NRK en Plastics Europe Nederland. Terwijl juist het versneld en in Europees verband inzetten op effectieve maatregelen, zoals bijvoorbeeld het verplicht bijmengen van recyclaat, bijdraagt aan circulaire productie en verbruik van plastics.

De sector richt zich tot de Vaste Kamercommissie voor IenW die het tweejaarlijkse overleg over een circulaire economie plenair vervolgt op donderdag 8 december. “Wij roepen u op om u te verdiepen in de gebrekkige werking van een nationale plastic taks, in de onevenredige gevolgen voor bedrijven en werknemers en te kiezen voor de meest effectieve weg naar circulaire productie en verbruik.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n
