PlasticsEurope lanceerde vandaag de 2020-editie van zijn verwachte jaarverslag “Plastics: the Facts”. Ontdek de bijgewerkte gegevens van de productie van en vraag naar plastic materialen in 2019 en de uitgebreide afvalbeheercijfers voor 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wat komt u te weten?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dit rapport laat zien dat op mondiaal niveau de productie van plastic materialen in 2019 bleef stijgen, zij het in een langzamer tempo dan in de voorgaande jaren. China bevestigt opnieuw zijn leidende positie en vertegenwoordigt bijna een derde van de wereldproductie van kunststof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Met betrekking tot Europa laten cijfers een daling zien van de productie van en de vraag naar plastic materialen in 2019 ten opzichte van 2018. Dit is voornamelijk te wijten aan een afname van de vraag vanuit consumentenindustrie\u00ebn zoals de automobielsector, de verpakking en de elektrische en elektronische sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ondanks de vertraging van de productie en de vraag realiseerde de Europese kunststofindustrie in 2019 nog steeds een positieve handelsbalans van meer dan 13 miljard euro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wat betreft de vooruitzichten voor 2020, een jaar dat sterk werd gekenmerkt door de COVID-19-crisis, merken we dat na een scherpe daling in de eerste helft van het jaar, de productie van plastic materialen zich in de tweede helft van het jaar begint te herstellen. We verwachten dat het herstel zich in het laatste kwartaal van 2020 en in 2021 zal voortzetten, terwijl het productieniveau van v\u00f3\u00f3r de crisis waarschijnlijk niet voor 2022 zal worden bereikt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
