Er is een kritiek punt bereikt waarop het er nu op aankomt dat alle belanghebbenden &#8211; regeringen, industrie en maatschappelijke organisaties &#8211; inspanningen verdubbelen voor het overeenkomen van werkbare compromissen, als we onderhandelingen nog op tijd willen afronden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Om die reden vinden we het absoluut winst dat onderhandelingen in tussentijdse sessies v\u00f3\u00f3r INC-5 worden voortgezet en zijn we ervan overtuigd dat door het toevoegen van waarnemers een transparante en technisch integere ontwerpovereenkomst kan worden gehandhaafd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Het mobiliseren van en vergemakkelijken van toegang tot financiering blijft een grote uitdaging, met name voor opkomende economie\u00ebn. We zijn daarom blij dat regelingen voor uitgebreide producentenverantwoordelijkheid steeds meer worden erkend als instrument voor einde-afvalbeheer van plastic producten aan het eind van hun levensduur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Daarnaast zijn we optimistisch gestemd over een aantal voorstellen die tijdens de onderhandelingen naar voren zijn geschoven als \u2018best practice\u2019 voor het identificeren en voorkomen van plastic toepassingen die problematisch en lekkage-gevoelig zijn. Het gaat dan om veelbelovende, criteria-gebaseerde benaderingen van de Europese Unie en het Verenigd Koninkrijk, als ook de <a href=\"https:\/\/plasticseurope.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/2110353_DecisionTreeInfographics_041524.pdf\">&#8220;beslisboom&#8221;<\/a> die de industrie op basis daarvan heeft ontwikkeld. Het is nu dringend zaak om dit in verdere sessies uit te werken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We zijn wel bezorgd dat maar er maar weinig voortgang is gemaakt met het cre\u00ebren van ondersteunend beleid en een regelgevend kader dat de circulaire plasticeconomie versnelt. De meest effectieve manier voor een versnelling, met behoud van de nutswaarde van plastic voor de samenleving, is een verdrag waarmee plastic afval een commodity wordt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De focus moet nu verschuiven naar beleid en maatregelen waardoor plastic afval een meerwaarde krijgt als circulaire grondstof en waardoor de de vraag naar circulaire grondstoffen wordt gestimuleerd, zoals het invoeren van verplichte gerecycled content doelstellingen voor sectoren die nationaal plastic in hun productie verwerken.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:16px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:48px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Virginia Janssens, Managing Director van Plastics Europe: &#8220;Hoewel we inzien dat onderhandelingen inherent moeilijk zijn en dat in Ottawa enige\u2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":23,"featured_media":1001,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[6],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-2612","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nieuws"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.6 -
