De onderzoekers maakten een scenario-analyse voor 2030 en onderzochten diverse praktijkcases. Het rapport werd ein vorig jaar gepresenteerd op het jaarlijkse ReThink-evenement: een congres van en door de plastics waardketen in Nederland.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De Nederlandse rubber- en kunststofindustrie zet zich actief in om haar milieu-impact te<br>verminderen. Dat bereiken we onder meer door de CO2-uitstoot terug te brengen, de weglek van<br>kunststof naar de natuur te voorkomen en het gebruik van niet-hernieuwbare grondstoffen te<br>verminderen. De verduurzaming van de sector kent kortom vele facetten, wat het tegelijk ook<br>complex maakt. Want hoe werken verduurzamingsinspanningen en plannen voor meer circulair<br>kunststofgebruik op elkaar in? En waar brengt het ons op de middellange termijn?<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Om hier meer inzicht in te krijgen, heeft CE Delft in opdracht van Plastics Europe en NRK ge\u00ebvalueerd waar de plannen voor een<br>circulaire plasticketen in Nederland op uitkomen en in hoeverre ze bijdragen aan een substanti\u00eble CO2-<br>emissiereductie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De onderzoekers hebben twee soorten analyses uitgevoerd. Er zijn scenario\u2019s<br>gemaakt voor 2030, waarbij is gekeken naar het effect van verduurzamingsopties op de CO2-emissies<br>van het Nederlandse gebruik van kunststof. Daarnaast is gekeken naar verschillende praktijkcases die<br>illustreren welke CO2-voordelen rubber en kunststof in specifieke producten bieden.<br>De belangrijkste conclusie van het onderzoek luidt dat hoezeer de hele productketen \u2013 van grondstof<br>tot eindgebruiker \u2013 alle zeilen ook bijzet, de doelen van de Transitieagenda niet binnen bereik<br>zijn.
