Dado que permite el tratamiento de flujos de residuos pl\u00e1sticos complejos, como films multicapas, el reciclado qu\u00edmico puede utilizarse para residuos pl\u00e1sticos que, de otro modo, acabar\u00edan en incineraci\u00f3n o vertedero. En toda Europa, el 67,5 % de los residuos pl\u00e1sticos post-consumo acaba desperdiciado en vertederos o incinerado con recuperaci\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica, por lo que existe un claro potencial de mejora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio is-style-small\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio has-normal-font-size\">Dado que el reciclado qu\u00edmico descompone los pol\u00edmeros en sus componentes b\u00e1sicos, tambi\u00e9n permite producir pl\u00e1stico reciclado con las mismas propiedades que el pl\u00e1stico virgen pudiendo utilizarse en aplicaciones m\u00e1s sensibles, como las destinadas al contacto con alimentos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">La Comisi\u00f3n Europea ha fijado objetivos de circularidad muy ambiciosos para los pl\u00e1sticos. Los objetivos normativos de las directivas sobre residuos recientemente revisadas son: reducir el vertido de residuos municipales a un 10 % como m\u00e1ximo para 2035; incrementar el porcentaje de reciclado de envases de pl\u00e1stico al 50 % para 2025 y alcanzar el 55 % para 2030. En este contexto, el reciclado qu\u00edmico supone un paso positivo para reducir los residuos que se env\u00edan a vertedero y contribuir a una econom\u00eda circular para los pl\u00e1sticos. Se calcula que la producci\u00f3n de pl\u00e1sticos reciclados aumentar\u00e1 a 0,9 Mt en 2025 y a 2,8 Mt en 2030. Con esta contribuci\u00f3n prevista, Plastics Europe desempe\u00f1a un papel destacado en el cumplimiento del objetivo de la Circular Plastics Alliance de la Comisi\u00f3n Europea, de 10 millones de toneladas de pl\u00e1sticos reciclados utilizados en productos europeos en 2025.
