Br\u00fcssel, 23.04.2024<\/strong> \u2013 Am Dienstag, den 23. April 2024 wurde im EU-Parlament \u00fcber Ma\u00dfnahmen abgestimmt, um die unbeabsichtigte Freisetzung von Kunststoff-Pellets zu reduzieren. Die neuen Vorschriften sollen Unternehmen, die mit Kunststoff-Pellets arbeiten, entlang der gesamten Wertsch\u00f6pfungskette dazu verpflichten, Pellet-Verluste vorzubeugen und im Falle eines Verlusts sofort Ma\u00dfnahmen zur Eind\u00e4mmung und Beseitigung zu ergreifen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alexander R\u00f6der, Direktor f\u00fcr Klima und Produktion bei Plastics Europe AISBL, dem Verband der Kunststofferzeuger, kommentiert die Abstimmung: \u201eDer Verlust von Kunststoffgranulat in unseren \u00d6kosystemen ist inakzeptabel. Bedauerlicherweise kann er entlang der gesamten Wertsch\u00f6pfungskette auftreten. Plastics Europe ist \u00fcberzeugt, dass der Vorschlag der Europ\u00e4ischen Kommission angemessen ist und dass eine verbindliche EU-Verordnung notwendig ist, um den Verlust von Pellets in der Umwelt zu reduzieren.\u201c, so R\u00f6der. \u201eEs ist jetzt wichtig, dass die Verhandlungen zur unbeabsichtigten Freisetzung von Kunststoff-Pellets direkt zu Beginn der n\u00e4chsten Legislaturperiode weitergehen, damit ausreichend Zeit bleibt, um diese Verordnung bis 2030, wie von der Kommission vorgesehen, umzusetzen.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n
